SUDDENLY SOUTHERN
Summer comes and once again the Griffiths family flees like the wusses they are and head for more moderate temperatures in Minnesota. We're happily settled into the cottage on the lake for a few weeks, and even John could join us, which was good because he got to 'relax' by working on a couple of projects at the lake.
We've needed a new section of steps down at the dock for... well, for YEARS. Now they're finished, but you have no idea how much work it was for John and the kids! The good part was working together (them, not me) and the kids now know how to mix and pour concrete and plan steps! And, we can all make it to the dock without risking broken limbs. (HEY--- I was there for the first step- building 16 years ago!)

Max is very proud to announce that he has now passed Katie in height. I suppose we should measure these kids one of these days?

The dogs came with us again, but Norbert the Bearded Dragon is waiting for us back in North Carolina. I wonder if he missed his buddy, Jessie.
Katie's friend Brittany is now competing in horse shows. So we spent an afternoon and evening watching her. What fun!! There were so many gorgeous animals, and the events were a blast to watch. This is Brittany and her horse, Chevy.

Katie bought herself a digital camera with her birthday money. Nobody is safe now! She started with these pics for Brittany and we're being patient while she learns to use the camera. hehehe...
More pictures soon!! Can you hardly wait.
